The Colors of Christmas!

Color me Christmas my friends and readers! Is it just me or does this holiday season feel especially electric? Our Fall in Southern Illinois was magnificently vibrant with color and the smell of change and now we are heading into the crystal arms of Winter. Green leaves have changed to red and are now being replaced by the sparkling lights of decorated homes and businesses. Driving through town one evening, I was awed by a house done up in bright white and lucent blue. It stood out among the traditional cheer of red and green in the landscape of the neighborhood. The white lights reminded me of the tingle of excitement that comes with the first snowfall of Winter and the blue awoke a combination of both calm and anticipation. Like that moment when you push off at the top of the snowy hill and you hurtle, giddily screaming, down the slope. In this season of lights, I’ll be mixing clean whites and bold blues into my wardrobe to capture my feeling of hope and excitement for things to come. Whether you are staying in the warmth of your own home or visiting friends in theirs, dare to mix it up and be the sparkle!
