Before discovering fusion felting, painting was my expression. I was visited by stories and images that paints brought to life. Much of my painting inspiration has been reawakened in my fashion pieces. Oceanica is a story of a young woman, drawn into the depths of the sea. A glimpse of the sun above the dark water ignited her power to overcome fear and her resolve to reach the light. She emerges triumphant, sheathed in the fabric of the sea, an empowered version of the girl she had been.
