Favorite shawl and a cup of tea.

The fall and winter holidays are traditionally a time for enjoying the warm embrace of family, lighthearted conversation with friends and the deep cleansing breath of shifting winds. 2020 has brought us a year that is anything but typical, as many of us will have to forgo those essential elements of our well-being, to ensure the health and safety of loved ones. My art and my work enable me to work through these unparalleled times and unmatched emotions. I contemplate and relish memories of my family and friends, many of whom are far away, as I work delicate silk and warm wool to fuse fabric of enduring strength and style.

This season I will make some promises to myself. Will you join me? I will wrap myself in my favorite shawl and sip a hot cup of tea - I like (chamomile?) for it's calmness or (ginger?) for it's heat.  I will find the spot where the sun shines brightest and take some moments to breathe, REALLY breathe. I will embrace myself and the warmth will come from inside me.

To all of you, who read my words and support my work, thank you!
